After extending their home, the clients wanted their new kitchen space to be sociable and timeless but also have a modern edge. Using a classic Shaker door with smart handles, sleek appliances and quartz worktops, their new kitchen now has the best of both worlds. The kitchen is well equipped with storage, including two larders for easy access, as well as a bank of appliances with single oven, combi-microwave, coffee machine and warming drawers.
The clients didn’t want to break up the space with a large extractor and wanted to keep the central cooking island as a social hub. By investing in a down-draft extractor, this neatly tucks away out of sight when not in use. Adding to the social feel, two curved ends on the front of the island gracefully soften the edges and there’s a long seating area to the rear of the island.
