The clients wanted to extend their original kitchen to create a much-needed living space. Milligan & Jessop managed the entire project from the architects’ plans through to commissioning the building work and finally designing and fitting their high quality Broadoak kitchen. The design has a very open feel to it and flows effortlessly from kitchen to dining to living space. The room opens out to the garden so in the summer the doors are thrown open to bring the outdoors in.
Keeping the colour scheme cohesive creates a seamless link through the zones of the room. The warm tones of the oak kitchen cabinetry is echoed in the dining table and chairs. The room benefits from lots of natural light flooding through the roof lights and large windows so their were no concerns with opting for a dark granite worktop to contrast with the timber units.
