The Brief

The clients, a professional couple, wanted their kitchen to be designed for modern living but classic in its look and feel.  They chose the Broadoak Painted range in a blend of charcoal and alabaster which is a modern colour palette but with a timeless Shaker design. Slick organic white Silestone worktops contrast beautifully and create a monochrome aesthetic that is smart yet elegant.

Designer's Tips

The clients wanted a seating area so as well as being very practical the kitchen could be a social hub too.  The designer created an overhang on the island where the stools neatly and comfortably sit underneath. The cream stools enhance the alabaster painted cabinetry, with the their shape also subtly echoing the gentle curves of the island, bringing an element of softness to the scheme.
