This kitchen is set in a large family house in the countryside. The clients wanted to create a lifestyle space, including a sociable dining area. Their previous kitchen was relatively small, in relation to the size of the property so by extending they were able to relocate the kitchen and in doing so enjoy the long distance views. They opted for classic timber painted cabinetry in the soft cornflower blue, which is perfectly in keeping with the style of the house.
As well as having space for a table and chairs, the island also include seating, ideal for catching up with a coffee or more informal dining. The new kitchen also benefits from enhanced storage, with pull-out larders, deep pan drawers and open bottle racks. The glass doors out to the garden bring the outside in, flooding the room with lots of natural light.
