This project was for a couple whose children have now left home. They wanted a practical kitchen that was geared towards their interest in baking and experimental cooking. The brief was for a light-toned Shaker-style kitchen in a unique colour. Broadoak China blue was recommended for its distinctive yet calming presence. The pale quartz worktops contrast beautifully with the furniture.
The challenge was to link the whole room together across the windows, whilst keeping everything symmetrical. It was also necessary to incorporate a consumer unit in the design. Seating was added to the rear of the peninsular with the ends finished off with curved units.
