The clients, a family of four, wanted a more sociable kitchen, so not only knocked through the original dining room and kitchen, but added an extension to the rear of the dining room to achieve a larger space. The new L-shaped family room had to deliver on many counts, as well as being the hub of the home it had to offer plenty of worksurface space and storage. The Broadoak range was chosen for its simple styling, the alabaster finish for its fresh appeal and all teaming beautifully with the seamless Corian worktops.
The kitchen now has ample storage and prep space, with the u-shape layout being ergonomic to work in. There’s a natural link through to the dining and living areas so whilst the family members may be doing different activities they are still very much together in this well-considered space.
