The clients, a family of four, had just moved into the house and immediately worked on making the kitchen suit their needs. They blocked up the back door, removed the rear window and replaced with French doors. They opted for the matt tones of Inzo, but to avoid playing it totally safe, rich walnut worktops and upstands and a vivid blue splashback add a distinctive contrast.
To encourage the family to spend more time together the designer suggested a quartz topped breakfast bar, which the clients say works really well for them as it’s the natural place where everyone gets together. The glass splashback reflects the natural light and along with the patterned wallpaper injects fun into the scheme.
