The Brief

The client, an art teacher, wanted to stamp her love of design and colour on her new kitchen incorporating a modern look but with plenty of practical storage and worksurfacing.  She opted for the Inzo range, in a neutral gloss-olive finish, teamed with white mirror quartz worktops.  Her personality shines throughout the scheme, with the fuscia-pink glass splashback, vibrant accessories and chandelier adding character-rich pops of colour. s'>  The same flooring has been used throughout for continuity and a combination of task and mood lighting ensures the room can be adjusted to suit the activity, be that cooking, reading or chilling out.  The glazed French doors lead onto balconies at either end of the room and flood the whole space with light.

Designer's Tips

The new design has an open-plan layout bringing the kitchen and lounge together for entertaining, socialising and relaxing. The designer recommended the concept of the crescent-shaped units, facing the lounge with seating tucked under the worktop, as this creates an inviting hub.  The same flooring has been used throughout for continuity and a combination of task and mood lighting ensures the room can be adjusted to suit the activity, be that cooking, reading or chilling out.  The glazed French doors lead onto balconies at either end of the room and flood the whole space with light.
