The clients’ brief was for a clean, contemporary scheme for their new open plan kitchen but with a few warm rustic touches. They loved the simplicity of the Inzo cabinetry and love the blend of the solid timber worktops and wood-effect chestnut flooring which add a distinctive contrast. The addition of the copper-toned glass splashback, behind the range cooker, adds the finishing touch to the design.
Although there is a dining table and chairs in the orangery extension, the clients were keen to have some informal seating within the kitchen space. This was achieved by creating a split-level breakfast bar. The curved cabinetry in the layout gives a sense of flow through to the orangery, in the same way the use of timber flooring throughout unites to two areas.
