The Brief
The clients, a young family, had undertaken a full house renovation and the kitchen was a much-awaited extension to their property. The kitchen is very much a key living space in the home so the design has a very sociable element to it with the island being the hub where everyone congregates.
Designer's Tips
The clients wanted a light colour palette of white and pale grey so the kitchen has a very airy feel, benefiting from plenty of natural lighting too. They’ve also enhanced this with a statement rise and fall light fitting over the island. Interesting design touches include the wenge open-slatted feature on the island.
