The clients had wanted a much larger kitchen for some time and by knocking two rooms into one they are delighted with the difference the larger space has made to them. They chose the alabaster painted Milbourne range which has created a light and airy room. To break up the runs of cabinetry there are some country design touches such as open plate racks and handy wicker baskets.
Wood has an inherent warmth to it and is used to great effect in this scheme, both on the oak worktops and the flooring. The worktops also include a section of creamy-toned quartz, this is a more practical surface to use around a Belfast sink and contrasts beautifully with the oak timber surface used elsewhere.
