The Brief

Extending the property, by converting an original carthouse, has created a beautiful open-plan kitchen in this period Dale’s farmhouse.  Retaining architectural features, such as the large archway, has added character and charm and lets natural light flood through the space.  The classic-styled painted  Milbourne range imbues a calming ambience, with the dark granite worktops injecting contrast against the cabinetry’s alabaster finish and light stone flooring.

Designer's Tips

The original kitchen was small with no room to sit, so the clients were keen for their new kitchen to have a strong social element. With the handy breakfast bar and space for a table and chairs there’s plenty of room for family and friends to get together. Improved storage was an essential requirement of the brief and has been delivered with the clever and easy-to-access Le Mans and tandem larder systems.
