The clients’ brief was for a large kitchen that was in keeping with the style and architectural proportions of their old manor house. They wanted to maximise the floor space and by bringing an outbuilding on a lower level into the space added further interest to the design, as they kept a distinct difference between the original and new areas. They opted for Milbourne Alabaster Shaker cabinetry and injected a hint of glamour with star galaxy granite worktops, satin nickel diamante style handles and crystal chandeliers..
The project also included a utility room. The fridge was positioned as a visible feature down the steps to the new opening to the utility room. This freed up floor space in the kitchen allowing for a breakfast island to be featured in the design. The Milbourne doors are also on the cloak room cupboard and understairs pantry, all contributing to creating the illusion of the kitchen seeming much bigger.
