The Brief
The clients were a young couple who were keen to spruce up their existing kitchen, which was quite small and cluttered with dark, laminate worktops. They liked Scandinavian style and preferred the painted look rather than a really modern kitchen. They wanted to make the room feel much bigger with as much storage space as possible.
There was an awkward area at the sink where we had to put in an angled base unit and a pipe box in the corner, which we put a dresser unit in-front of.
Designer's Tips
To free up worktop space, we designed their microwave in a wall unit, out of the way. We included a tall, 400mmW pull out larder for extra, easy to access storage and three sets of pan drawers.
The mixture of Charcoal and Partridge Grey prevented the kitchen from looking too dark and the wall tiles the client chose added a nice touch.
