The clients opted for a painted kitchen but included some oak doors for the central island, which not only added warmth to the scheme but also tied in with the solid oak worksurfaces. Alabaster wall cupboards create a light feel whereas the charcoal base units add depth and perfectly complement the Aga. The multi-functional island features a ceramic sink and dishwasher and the stunning cosmic leather granite worktops add great visual appeal. A Le Mans system is ideal for extra storage and allows access into an otherwise awkward corner.
The clients love the versatility of the island and find the seating area invaluable when entertaining as they can chat to their guests whilst preparing the meal. A wine cooler is perfect for dinner parties and also breaks up the run of units. Removing the exterior wall to make way for bi-fold doors creates a completely al-fresco feel to the kitchen.
