Removing a wall, between the dining room, created this beautiful and multi-functional kitchen-dining space. The clients loved the idea of having a contrasting mix of colours for the cabinetry, choosing charcoal for the base units and light alabaster for the wall in the simply-styled Milbourne design. The clients wanted to make a distinctive feature of the cooking area and by including an overmantle with plate racks either side of the statement range cooker, plus plenty of worksurface either side and practical storage beneath, achieved this perfectly.
The designer suggested a leathered granite worksurface, this not only adds a tactile element to the design but the colours complement the scheme beautifully. Tall glazed wall cabinets frame the run of units along the sink area and add a more decorative touch to the storage.
