The old kitchen was in urgent need of updating. The galley layout limited design options but with careful planning the desired look was achieved, coupled with some much-needed storage within a tight space. The mixture of painted sage frontals, half-moon pewter handles, quartz worktops and coordinating glass splashback deliver a classic homely feel for this period cottage. The fresh look and good value offered within the Milbourne range allowed the retailer to offer a quality painted product but on a budget.
By combining the warm sage finish on oak cabinetry with features including the wicker baskets, open plate rack unit and the hanging rail the client loved the classic style that was created. A major change undertaken in this project was moving and centralising the main door into the living room allowing for a much improved use of space and increased worktop space and storage. Often it’s these small changes that can make all the difference to a great design and result.
