The client wanted a warm and welcoming kitchen that was perfect for family gatherings. The wall between the original kitchen and dining room was knocked through to create one large room. A mix of Milton painted and walnut cabinetry is echoed with the combination of cream quartz and walnut worktops and timber backed stools. The overall look is timeless but accent areas such as the shaped walnut breakfast bar and curved wall cabinets inject focal points and design appeal.
If you are working with a north-facing room then ensure the room is kept light, bright and open, and if possible, as in this scheme, keep wall cabinets to a minimum to avoid the room feeling crowded. Breaking up a straight run of units with feature doors will make the design more individual.
