The clients wanted to modernise their kitchen and opted for the Milton design in a fresh blue finish. The look and feel of the new kitchen is very much in keeping with the renovation work they were doing elsewhere in their property. They wanted to achieve a much lighter ambience with less emphasis on wood, which was the key material in their original kitchen.
The designer recommended replacing the island with peninsulas which enabled much easier access to the kitchen yet still creating a very sociable space with seating on one side and functional storage on the other The design maximises every storage opportunity, even at the end of the peninsula a door conceals a shallow cabinet, which is idea for jars, spices and bottles. Corner storage was inadequate so a Le Mans system improves both access and makes it much easier to keep everything organised.
