Our customers were a large family that love to entertain and have a passion for cooking together, so their new kitchen needed to reflect this. They also love watching live sport on TV so requested that the space could be multi-functional, perfect for hosting friends and family, with an abundance of space for cooking and a design that incorporated their TV.
A statement island was the perfect feature to increase worksurface space for cooking, whilst adding an extra dining element for the family with a multi-level breakfast bar.
In terms of style, the family were looking for industrial chic, so we paired the rich Hartforth Blue cabinets with striking Copper handles, modular shelving, bespoke lighting and designer radiators.
As the property had changed extensively over the years, it was important to try to keep the balance of both rooms due to the number of supporting beams within the large kitchen dining area. To overcome this and not let the beams dominate the visual line of the space our designer used lighting and boxing to give a sense of balance and flow.
