The brief was to design a more sociable kitchen that would become the main space for get-togethers in the home. The old kitchen and an adjoining room were knocked through to create an open plan kitchen diner. By opting for the light and glossy Porter Beige, combined with light solid surface worktops, the overall look is fresh, bright and airy.
Keen to inject colour into the interior, the clients chose a retro-inspired print for the wallpaper in the dining area of the room. This adds pops of colour but in an affordable way, so should they wish to change the look in the future it’s an easy update. To tie the scheme in with the kitchen area, they have picked out the vivid red and warm cappuccino in the blinds and also on the glass splashback.
