Kitchen style used

The Brief

The kitchen is very much the centre of family life and in this project a new extension was added to the property to achieve this essential living space.  The clients wanted a contemporary styled kitchen and with so much natural lighting flooding into the room they opted for the highly reflective gloss Porter Beige, which ensures the room is always airy. This also enabled them to choose richly toned burgundy quartz worktop to add a dramatic colour contrast.

Designer's Tips

As well as being the key living room in the home, the kitchen is a very hard-worked and practical area.  Storage is maximised at every opportunity and there’s larder pull-outs discreetly hidden away either side of the American fridge/freezer.  The design is balanced and streamlined, with the cooker hood precisely centred between the windows.  Other useful but discreet features include the recessed sink drainer grooves, hot rods and plinth heater.
