The Brief
The room was a difficult shape so required careful consideration to ensure it achieved the brief for a sociable kitchen living room that also made best use of the space. This kitchen was awarded the 2013 NEFF design award for kitchen specialists. The Editor of Designer Magazine, a judge on the Awards’ panel summed the design up very well saying it was ‘a highly creative solution to a tough brief, resulting in an almost unbelievably versatile space that demonstrates just how a kitchen can enhance the owners’ day-to-day lives”.
Designer's Tips
To enhance a sense space a gloss handleless door, such as Remo Alabaster, is great for reflecting the light. For functional and decorative appeal a window seat is a great option, it not only creates additional storage but is a lovely place to relax too.
