The clients wanted to create an open-plan space which would become the hub of their family home. This was achieved by knocking through the original kitchen, hallway and archway to the dining room. Gloss Remo Alabaster cabinetry, teamed with ivory shimmer quartz worktops, give the scheme a fresh outdoor feel, perfect for maximising the great view from the kitchen out to a nature reserve. A tall bank of units incorporates slide-away and combination microwave ovens, warming drawer and fridge freezer.
The space is enhanced by the peninsular, which has an attractive yet practical seating area, housing storage and a wine cooler beneath. The solid oak worktop differentiates this area and injects warmth, in contrast to the quartz. Storage has been significantly improved with the new design and a Le Mans solution is ideal for accessing an otherwise awkward corner.
