The Brief

A long, narrow room is not the easiest to work with but with careful planning this galley kitchen has plenty of design interest.  The brief was for an uncluttered and clean look so the client chose the handleless Remo Alabaster range. One wall features a bank of cabinets housing the appliances and lots of storage, punctuated by a modern tall radiator.  The other side of the kitchen incorporates sleek wide drawers to create a linear feel.

Designer's Tips

To break up the run of cabinets there is an informal seating area at one end. This is not only a place to have coffee or a bite to eat but also works effectively as a desk station. To contrast with the lighter tones of the furniture this area is in wenge timber, which injects warmth and contrast to the scheme.
