The Brief
The clients wanted their new kitchen design to marry up to the recent contemporary refurbishment of the other homes in their home. They loved the sleek simplicity of the Remo handleless range, opting for the neutral beige so they could introduce punches of colour with their kitchen accessories. The contrasting white quartz worksurface, with full height tangerine glass splashback, gives just the feeling of the fun, space to cook and socialise that they’d envisaged. The slim flush-line induction hob delivers additional worksurface in the peninsular area, which includes storage cupboards beneath to one side and seating to the other side. A ceiling extractor is housed in a bespoke curved glass unit above to follow the curved lines of this peninsular, this is enhanced by colour-changing mood lighting.
Designer's Tips
Introducing the coloured glass splashback injects a vivid pop of colour and lifts the whole neutral scheme. The glazed wall units were introduced to display the clients’contemporary crockery and in turn creates a feature wall for added design interest.A Quooker boiling tap is the finishing touch to this funky modern kitchen.
