The clients, a retired couple, were looking to declutter and streamline their kitchen after a recent house move. The brief was for as much storage as possible and keeping the worktops clear. They opted for the handleless Remo range, dove grey for the base cabinets and white for the wall units. A boiling water tap avoids the need for a kettle on the worktop and a full height pull-out larder and 2 carousel corner systems maximise the storage space available.
With a classic u-shape layout to work with, the designer suggested introducing curved cabinetry to create a smooth flowing workspace. Lighting was also really important, with the clients keen to add a touch of colour, this is used to great effect in the colour-changing and dimmable lighting in the letterbox wall cabinet, as well as under-worktop lighting used to cast lighting over the base units. To keep the walls clear of electrical sockets the evoline plug sockets are set into the worktops and discreetly hidden away when not in use.
