Kitchen style used

The Brief

A huge transformation took place to create this bright open plan space. The original kitchen was dark and cramped due to a poor design, compounded by an over sized island unit. The designer recommended removing two walls and blocking a doorway, which immediately resulted in a free-flowing room to accommodate the kitchen and dining area. The Remo gloss white cabinetry adds a light and airy ambience to the room.  The island is home to a wine chiller and pop-up power socket and features an overhang to the rear where three stools tuck neatly under the surface.

Designer's Tips

For ease of access and a streamlined look the ovens are accommodated in a large bank of tall units. Pull-out larder units either side of the appliances and pan drawers below provide easily accessible storage. A large induction hob is set into an impressive island unit with curved ends with a ceiling mounted extractor hood chosen to maintain the open feel due to its discreet, flush finish.
