Kitchen style used

The Brief

An old wooden kitchen was removed and replaced with a minimalist contemporary design. The fridge freezer was originally in the adjoining utility room, so for convenience was re-located in the kitchen, surrounded with pull-out larder storage. A wrap-around run of units made up the main part of the kitchen, with a large peninsular unit maximising the use of the floor space. The Remo White cabinetry in a matt finish creates an air of calm, with a run of frame glazed walls units, above the oven, adding a subtle contrast.

Designer's Tips

Curved units create a feature on the end of the peninsula with a casual dining area opened up at the back for two stools. A large induction hob is positioned over a pan drawer unit providing storage for cooking utensils. Accessible storage in the form of a pull-out base unit and Le-mans corner system are either side of the hob.  The worktop upstands have been extended into the window sill to give the customer complete protection from splashing water. Ovens are positioned in new midi-height housing opposite the hob and an integrated wall microwave ensures the worktops are free of small appliances.
